Mr. Anil Chopra is the Group CEO and Director of Bajaj Capital, a leading player in the financial planning and investment advisory business. He joined the company in 1984 and has been instrumental in expanding its network from 6 to 125 branches, from 60 to 1600 highly talented human resources.

In the last 25 years, Mr. Chopra has recruited and trained over 700 investment advisors and financial planners who are now placed in 125 branches and other specialized groups in Bajaj Capital, like Wealth Management Centre, Institutional Advisory Group, Investment Banking Group and Insurance Broking Group. He is also accredited with bringing the best international HR practices in Bajaj Capital Group to make it a vibrant open architecture powerful distribution house.

Under the aegis of business and marketing strategies of Mr. Chopra, the client base of the company has increased manifold from 50,000 in 1984 to 7,00,000 as of now.

The interest of Mr. Chopra in financial planning is intense and profound. In fact, he was the first person from Indian Financial Services industry to enter the office of FPSB in Denver, Colorado, USA in November, 1999 with a dream to bring the concept and profession of financial planning in India. He took keen interest in organizing the first ever association of like-minded companies in India to form a body which was later to be converted and rechristened as FPSB India.

Thus, he can be truly described as the pioneer and harbinger of the profession of financial planning in India and has been actively attending international conferences of financial planners in USA, UK and Singapore.

Mr. Chopra is a Chartered Accountant by profession and is also a certified financial planner. He is proficient and fluent in German language which he learnt as a hobby in his college days. He also likes to read articles on self-improvement, Indian and international news.
